Tanya Palmer

Holmfirth artWEEK started yesterday, and my talented friend Tanya is exhibiting 2 of of her wonderful textile artworks, all sewn using her sewing machine!
They are taken from scenes in our village and the detail is amazing. I especially like the street lamps, telephone wires and the little row of chimney pots.

Both of these pieces can be seen at the main artWEEK exhibition.
Tanya was awarded The Florence Parker memorial  for the best newcomer, well deserved! I can't wait to see more of Tanya's art works!  See the inspiration behind these pieces at Tanya's blog here.
What a great start the week, I'm sooo made up for Tanya! fab!

If you're near Holmfirth, (West Yorkshire) then call to see the wonderful variety of work on display from sculpture to oil paintings to digital art! It's open 10am till 9pm mon - Fri and finishes this Saturday at 5pm, it's very well worth a visit!
