Creative tonic ...

I can't believe it was last Saturday I went on the mono printing course taken by the very talented print maker Charles Shearer! In a fabulous creative space at the Yorkshire Sculpture park.

Me and my lovely friend Nicki have these arty get-togethers every now and then, they're a total creative tonic and good for the soul,! It was wonderful to experiment with the mono printing process,
I loved it!!

Charles Shearer was a wonderful teacher,
I felt incredibly lucky to watch him work his magic as he demonstrated stencil mono printing to us  which resulted in everyone producing such wonderful work.
I didn't want the day to end! and I really wish I was going to do it all again tomorrow!

The course was to coincide with the St. Jude's Exhibition which is on at the YSP,
you should go see if you get the chance before it finishes at the end of October.
Such inspiring prints by the talented print makers under the St. Jude's umbrella.

And guess what?...
I'm taking a course at West Yorkshire Print Workshop!

'Creating Artwork for Screen Printing' on October 29th,
A fun creative workshop as a taster into screen printing, focussing on the creative side of screen printing rather than the technicalities of the process resulting in a very lovely collaborative print for you to to take home!
if you fancy a creative day and an introduction to a new skill!
I'll post more info nearer the time,
There are some wonderful printing courses at WYPW, taken by some incredibly talented and knowledgeable print makers,
have a little look here.

Have a lovey weekend!
