Owl at Home by Arnold Lobel is a lovely book for learner readers. Skyla still loves reading this book alone tucked up in bed with it's gentle stories and endearing owl illustrations. There's a warmth and cosy-ness to this book and it's great for building confidence in slow readers.

Arnold Lobel is most famous for his Frog and Toad series of books

 and the adventures the two friend go on.

There's such an endearing quality to Arnold Lobels illustrations, he seems to capture the emotions of the characters in such a convincing and sensitive way.
